About Jan Sewa Trust-
Jan Sewa Trust is a Social organization with the aim of serving humanity. Its founder Late Sh. Krishna Kumar Jakhar, laid the foundation of Jan Sewa Trust in 1990, as he was inspired by the great Social Policies passed by Yugpurush Chaudhary Devi Lal, The Former Deputy Prime Minister of India.
The main objective of the Trust is to build the future of the Children of rural areas by giving them education, leading the Farmers towards modern agriculture, increasing the spirit of Sports person among the Games and sports, and also better medical facilities in rural areas to human being by giving financial assistance and to necessary help.
- For the past decades, the Trust has been providing donations to various educational institutions throughout India. Institutions in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan have a great development in the infrastructure of Schools and Colleges and the Promotion of education.
- The Trust works to provide educational financial assistance to selected students from all over the country for their extraordinary achievements in education. Along with this, it also helps poor children to get primary education.
- The trust distributes food, medicines, and other essential items of daily use free of cost to the poor people and needy persons at General hospitals, Railway stations, and other many public places.
The trust is soon going to open a Charitable Hospital in Jind (Haryana), in which various diseases will be treated free of cost. The trust also provides financial assistance to the helpless and poor people across the state for better treatment for various serious diseases.
Jan Sewa Trust is working according to registered Trust Deed to achieve his target and objects. The main objects for which the Trust is established are as follows :-
- To start a Printing press and to Print and Publish a daily newspaper, weekly, fortnightly and monthly journals, periodicals, circulars, books, leaflets and to prepare, print publish and distribute such News papers, Circulars, Books, Leaflets and other publications, and to procure articles , advertisements or other matter that may seem desirable in the interest of the Trust in general. To Collect statistics and statistical data on public in general for the upliftment of the Trust and public at large.
- To establish, maintain and develop research centres or institutes and to undertake research and publication of literature on problems and subjects relating to Agriculture, Rural Developments, Industry, labour, Tourism and Cultural Development in India.
- To establish library and reading rooms for the use of the public at large and to arrange for circulation and publication of books, journals, bulletins, pamphlets etc.
- To institute and establish scholarships, grants, prizes and rewards and to encourage and promote the study and research in any field
- To arrange lectures, conferences, social functions and such other opportunities for the meeting with a view to promote personal contact amongst the public either independently or jointly , with any other body or bodies.
- To create, achieve and fulfil the social cultural economic objectives and awakening of consciousness amongst general public through proper means about the above objectives.
- To purchase, take on lease, hire or otherwise acquire or hold any moveable or immoveable property, rights or privileges and to improve and develop any or all of them which may be deemed necessary or convenient for any of the purposes of the Trust.
- To negotiate and enter into an arrangement with other bodies, government, municipal or local authorities that may seem conducive to all or any of the objects of the Trust.
- To contribute, donate and give aid pecuniary or otherwise to any person, associations, body and\or movement having objects similar to those of the Trust.
- To contribute, subscribe for, purchase or in any other manner acquire ownership flat in any building or to become member of a Co – operative Society directly or through the office bearer or other members of the Trust with a view to acquiring such ownership flat for the purpose of promoting the objects of the Trust.
- To build, construct, maintain, repair, adopt, alter, improve or develop or furnish any building or works considered necessary or convenient for the purpose of Trust.
- To sell, assign, mortgage, hypothecate, lease, exchange and otherwise deal with all or any property movable or immoveable of the Trust as may be necessary or convenient of the working of Trust.
- To borrow raise or secure the payment of money in such manner as the Trust shall deem proper or convenient for\ furtherance of the above objects and, in particular by the issue of bonds, debentures, bills of exchange, promissory notes or other obligation as securities of the Trust and to purchase, redeem or pay of any such obligations or securities.
- To prepare and maintain accounts and the relevant records and annual statements of accounts including Income and Expenditure Account and Balance Sheet of the Trust.
- To do all such other things as may be necessary for or incidental or conducive to the aim and objects of the Trust or allied thereto
